Shared Lists
Questions? Weβve got you.
Clear answers about getting started, shared lists, plans, archiving, privacy, and account management.
Getting started
Everything you need before creating your first shared list.
Do I need an account to use Shared Lists?
No. You can select Try Shared Lists to explore the app in Guest mode without registering. Guest access is intentionally limited so you can experience the core features before creating an account.
Creating a free account gives you access to the full Free plan and helps keep your data available when you sign out or change devices.
What happens to my guest data if I create an account?
If you create a new account from the same guest session, eligible guest data can carry over to the new account. Signing in to a different existing account may not transfer that guest data.
How can I sign in?
You can sign in using email and password or, where available, use Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple.
Lists, items, and members
Creating, sharing, editing, and collaborating with other people.
How many active lists can I have?
The number of active lists available depends on your current plan. Free accounts receive a base allowance and may be able to unlock additional capacity through rewarded ads. Paid plans include higher limits without ads.
What counts as an active list?
An active list is a list you own that has not been archived or permanently deleted. Archiving or deleting an eligible list may free capacity for another active list, subject to your plan rules.
How does the monthly item limit work?
Each plan includes a monthly allowance for creating new items. Usage is associated with the person who creates the item, including when adding items to a list owned by someone else.
Editing, completing, or deleting an existing item does not create a new item.
What happens when I reach my monthly limit?
You may need to wait for your next monthly reset, unlock available capacity through an eligible rewarded ad, or move to a plan with a higher allowance. The app shows your current usage and reset information.
How many people can join a list?
The member capacity depends on the ownerβs plan. The app displays the available capacity before a new invitation is shared or accepted.
How do I invite someone?
Open the list and select Share. You can invite another person using the available invitation link, QR code, or invitation code.
What can members do?
Members can collaborate on list items according to the permissions available in the app. The owner controls list-level actions such as removing members and permanently deleting the list.
Can I edit an item after adding it?
Yes. The number of permitted edits may depend on the plan associated with the list. When an edit limit applies, the app shows the available action clearly.
Archiving and reports
Keeping completed lists available without leaving them active forever.
What does archiving a list do?
Archiving moves an eligible list out of your active lists while keeping it available in a read-only state for the applicable retention period. Archived information may also be used in reports where that feature is included.
Which plans include archiving?
Archiving and report features are available only on eligible plans. The current retention period and feature availability are shown on the Plans & Pricing screen inside the app.
Can an archived list be restored?
No. Archiving a list is permanent and the list cannot be restored to your active lists. You can still view the archived list in the Archive section during the retention period included with your plan. Depending on your plan, archived lists may be retained for three or six months so you can review them, generate reports, or export their data to Excel. After the retention period ends, the archived list is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
Plans and purchases
Subscriptions, upgrades, cancellations, and purchase restoration.
What plans are available?
Shared Lists may offer Free, Silver, Gold, and Diamond plans. Available pricing, limits, promotions, and features are shown inside the app and may vary by platform, region, taxes, and store currency.
How do I upgrade, downgrade, or cancel?
Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play account used to make the purchase. Open your store subscription settings to review, change, or cancel the subscription.
Do subscriptions renew automatically?
Unless otherwise stated by the store, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. The renewal terms, billing date, and cancellation deadline are displayed by Apple or Google before purchase.
What happens after I upgrade?
Once the store confirms the purchase, eligible plan benefits are applied to your account. In some cases, reopening the app or selecting Restore Purchases may help refresh the subscription status.
How do I restore a previous purchase?
Use Restore Purchases from the Plans & Pricing screen while signed in with the same Apple ID or Google Play account used for the original purchase.
Why do I still see ads after upgrading?
Confirm that the purchase completed successfully, that you are signed in to the correct account, and that the store subscription is active. Then reopen the app or use Restore Purchases. Contact Support if the issue continues.
Account, privacy, and data
Managing your information, account deletion, and shared-list history.
How do I delete my account?
Open Profile and select Delete Account. Review the warning carefully before confirming.
If you cannot access the app, submit a request through the Support page.
What happens when I leave a shared list?
Leaving removes your access and membership. The original list and its items remain available to the owner and other members. Previous activity may remain in the list history so collaborators can understand who created, edited, or completed an item.
What happens after account deletion?
Account information and associated personal data are deleted or de-identified according to the Privacy Policy, subject to limited retention required for security, legal compliance, financial records, dispute resolution, or preservation of shared-content history belonging to other users.
Is my data synchronized across devices?
Registered accounts use cloud synchronization so supported lists and items can remain available across signed-in devices. Synchronization requires an internet connection.
Do you sell personal data?
No. Shared Lists does not sell personal information. Read the complete Privacy Policy for details about information handling, service providers, advertising, retention, and user choices.
